Converse x Vivienne Westwood:
For the Punks & the Dreamers

For the Punks & the Dreamers is a conceptual collaboration between Converse and Vivienne Westwood. The project explores how classic streetwear can intersect with high-fashion rebellion, creating footwear that speaks to individuality, nostalgia, and youth culture.

This is a Converse collaboration that reflects the rebellious, iconic style of English designer Vivienne Westwood. The campaign aims to resonate with teenagers and young adults seeking to merge fashion, nostalgia, and tradition, while emphasizing non-conformity and creativity. The case study presents both the product design and the campaign strategy behind the launch.

The collaboration introduces two sneaker designs that preserve the integrity of the classic Converse silhouette, rubber sole, and logo. Vivienne Westwood’s aesthetic is reflected through distinctive prints, patterns, and the iconic Westwood orb, paired alongside Converse branding.

To launch the designs, an ad campaign and Instagram carousel were developed, showcasing the collection’s bold fusion of punk-inspired visuals and dreamer-like creativity. Consistent graphics, textures, and typography reinforce the campaign’s central message: a shoe for the punks and the dreamers.

The collaboration concept highlights how Converse and Vivienne Westwood can merge two distinct cultural legacies into one product. The designs balance tradition with bold self-expression, appealing to a new generation of consumers. The campaign’s cohesive visuals across print and digital platforms strengthen brand identity while positioning the collaboration as a celebration of individuality.
